A note on the future of this publication

Dear readers,

When I started this publication back in January, I hoped to contribute to the understanding and analysis of the business and politics of boxing. At the same time, I was personally hoping that this publication would give me something productive to do while I was searching for a new full-time opportunity.

I am fortunate to share that I received a well-funded opportunity to pursue a PhD at a top school that will require me to move across the country. I will be moving in the coming weeks to pursue this opportunity. As enjoyable as working on this has been, I won’t be able to continue this publication while pursuing a PhD. As a result, this publication will wind down over the next few weeks. I generally worked ahead on schedule pieces and fight previews, so those will continue to published for events occurring by the end of July. Some of these previews may not be updated with last-minute developments. I may also not have mid-week posts every week going forward.

If you regularly read this newsletter, thank you for your readership. This publication did not attract a large readership. I was ok with that. If this publication gave you helpful information or entertained you, then I have done my job and I will be satisfied with that. Being a sportswriter was never my dream, but it was fun while it lasted. I hope you will enjoy the next few weeks of posts while I prepare for the new professional journey ahead of me.
